Sai & Moe's Birthday Party!!!

Happy Birthday!!!! Sai and her friend Moe have birthdays one day apart and decided they wanted to celebrate their birthday's together. So for the first time in Sai's life she got to have a party at a place that was not home. All I had to do was make the cake. :) Wow!!! It was the easiest party I have ever planned. :) The girls decided they wanted their party to be a Boondock's.
We started with pizza, cake and gifts. Then they were off to play minature golf.

Crazy girl in the cave!!!

Crazy Girls!!!!!
Now off to the Bumper Boats...

I stepped way from the danger of being sprayed to take some pictures of the surrounding Flora. :)

Bummper Boat aftermath...

Now for the raceway cars. Some of the girls were too short to drive, so they paired up.
Sai was the exact height and was able to drive. That was a HUGE deal.
:)
Moe was kicked off of the stinger cars, because she was too tall, as you can see Sai's legs were rather crowded. Moe was upset. It sucks when you get too tall, except I really can't understand...I have NEVER been too tall for anything. ;)
It was a great day!!!

A visit with my brother...

Recently I met my middle, younger brother at the Denver Airport. It has been to long since I last saw him. I really hope it will not be as long between visits the next time I see him.

I do have to comment that it is weird to see my younger siblings with wrinkles, they look older than I feel, but then I have wrinkles to.

This Weekend...

This weekend I spent reading. Starting on Friday evening, I finished Uglies, and then read Pretties and Specials by Sunday Morning!
I really enjoyed this series. It did a great job of sucking me in. It was a great Brave New World. :)
I will start Extras, as soon as, school is out.

Mother's Day

I awoke to a theatre at end of my bed.

There where a couple of scene changes even. :)

Sai did a wonderful job of making my day special. I had breakfast in bed, and she even made dinner for me.
She also gave me some wonderful gifts.

My Spring Break

I always have great productive plans.
I was going to replace 2 of my sinks, get tons of school work done, hang my new ceiling fan and clean my house.
Then I got side tracked.....
Sai spent Spring Break in Washington.
I decided to get her a new bed.
So I posted her old bed on craigslist. ( I LOVE Craigslist)
I sold it less than 15 hours after I posted it.
An adorable 2 year old boy now has a big boy bed. :)
I then began the process of putting a primer coat over Sai's bedroom.
I experimented with some bright colors, but decided I needed to paint it less little kid friendly, and more Pre-Teen friendly. And can be grown into.
Finally, after 2 coats the primer is done.
Then I was off to Lowe's for paint. I took along the quilt Sai has been working on in her sewing class. The paint guy was VERY helpful. I left Lowe's with a gallon of Carmel, a gallon of Sweet Mimosa, and a gallon of Dahilia.
Let the painting begin...
Of course I needed a good glass of wine and my computer for good music. :)

Here is the first picture of the room when I had completed the painting.
Carmel= Ceiling & wall to the left
Sweet Mimosa= Wall with window and the closet
Dahilia= Wall to the right & small wall on the way into the room

Setting up her new bed.
It was not that easy...

I went to Sai's sewing class, without her, and made some pillow shames to match her quilt.

I began setting up her room.

Max likes the room...

Sai came home. She had no idea about what I had been up to while she was in Washington.
I received MANY hugs and kisses, and I love you's. That made all the hard work, worth it.

A Happy Sai!!!

I feel very successful and I had fun doing it. :)

Weekend Update

Such an Angelic face...

It is amazing the damage this angelic face can do to another angelic face...

By the end of the day it was looking better. We are so lucky her eye was closed when buttercup made her escape from Max. Our day could have gone VERY differently if her eye had been open.

Hello Again :)

I'm back!!!
Sorry for the lack of posts, life has been really busy, but really good.
The following photos are of things we have been up to over the last month and a half.
Today Sai's basketball team took 3rd place in the YMCA tournament. The games were really intense. They played two games, one right after the other.

The last game was a real nail biter. When there was 1 minute 35 seconds on the clock they were down by 7 points. They came back to win it by 3 points. It was an amazingly stressful minute and a half.

The 2 pictures below are from last year. I can't believe how big she is. And her hair is sooo much longer!!!

Back to Pictures from today.

We have been Snow Shoeing a couple of times. Sai & Moe love going off the trail. :)

And a lovely picture of me.
