My Spring Break

I always have great productive plans.
I was going to replace 2 of my sinks, get tons of school work done, hang my new ceiling fan and clean my house.
Then I got side tracked.....
Sai spent Spring Break in Washington.
I decided to get her a new bed.
So I posted her old bed on craigslist. ( I LOVE Craigslist)
I sold it less than 15 hours after I posted it.
An adorable 2 year old boy now has a big boy bed. :)
I then began the process of putting a primer coat over Sai's bedroom.
I experimented with some bright colors, but decided I needed to paint it less little kid friendly, and more Pre-Teen friendly. And can be grown into.
Finally, after 2 coats the primer is done.
Then I was off to Lowe's for paint. I took along the quilt Sai has been working on in her sewing class. The paint guy was VERY helpful. I left Lowe's with a gallon of Carmel, a gallon of Sweet Mimosa, and a gallon of Dahilia.
Let the painting begin...
Of course I needed a good glass of wine and my computer for good music. :)

Here is the first picture of the room when I had completed the painting.
Carmel= Ceiling & wall to the left
Sweet Mimosa= Wall with window and the closet
Dahilia= Wall to the right & small wall on the way into the room

Setting up her new bed.
It was not that easy...

I went to Sai's sewing class, without her, and made some pillow shames to match her quilt.

I began setting up her room.

Max likes the room...

Sai came home. She had no idea about what I had been up to while she was in Washington.
I received MANY hugs and kisses, and I love you's. That made all the hard work, worth it.

A Happy Sai!!!

I feel very successful and I had fun doing it. :)
