Life's Milestones

Last year when sai had her coming of age lesson at school, we had many long conversations about the birds and the bees.
I told her that when she started her period we would celebrate by going to the Melting Pot for dinner.
Well the period came and so we dressed up and had a wonderful time.
It was very enjoyable to give this opportunity to Sai. She is handling the whole body changing stuff really well. She loves her body and her self-image is very healthy.
I am so greatful that she is not struggling with body image issues.
Although I do have to admit, I can't believe my baby is growing up so fast. Here she is with her fancy drink.
That the waiter keep filled the entire evening, she never had to ask for a refill, when she realized it was low, poof, there he was with another Shirley Temple.
First was the cheese fondue. You could tell that she felt sooo excited.
We had delicious southwestern cobb salads next. She surprising really enjoyed her salad.

Then came the main course. It was fun to watch her try all of the foods. She was really brave, especially for her. It was so yummy.

Finally, the part she was the MOST excited about.
Dessert!!
She loved the oreo covered marshmellows.

It was so wonderful to spend an evening with my daughter. I love just listening to her talk.
